The TUniversal Lounge Terrace & Pool is on the 10th floor, on Avinguda del Paral·lel in Ciutat Vella. The solarium has sun loungers and showers, with skyline views from the terrace. The pool is closed or restricted November to March.
Our take
At the 10th floor, this is higher than the 7th-floor InterContinental Barcelona and the 8th-floor Grand Hotel Central. Unlike InterContinental, which sells day passes, Universal is guests only.
The downside is the season. The pool runs summer only and is restricted from November to March, so a winter booking gets you the terrace and not the water. The terrace also has a fitness room, and towels are in the room wardrobe and by the pool.
