Our pick if you want clear rules: guests only, open daily 08:00 to 20:00, from €89 a night when you book direct. The 2027 season is already bookable on the hotel website.
The pool
An infinity pool sits on the roof of a 26-room, 4-star boutique hotel in central Budva. The hotel describes 360-degree Adriatic Sea views. The floor isn't published, and the pool is for hotel guests only.
Our take
Madeira is one of the few hotels on our list that spells out its terms. The pool runs daily 08:00 to 20:00, access is guests only, and the rate is €89 from the hotel's own site. Hotel Twelve is the other small guests-only option, but it posts no hours.
The downside is size and timing. With 26 rooms the pool is small in scale, and July and August are the busy months. The hotel's website says May, June and September are ideal, with fewer crowds. Book those months if you want the roof less full.
Good to know

Skip it ifYou want to swim without staying: the pool is reserved for hotel guests.
Getting in
Swimming is limited to hotel guests. The pool opens daily from 08:00 to 20:00, and the best room rate is on the hotel's own website.
No day pass is listed. The bar terrace has a sea view, but the hotel doesn't say it is on the roof, so don't count on it as a way to reach the pool.
Tips
- Book May, June or September for fewer crowds than July and August.
- Book direct on the hotel website for the best rate, from €89 a night.
Before you go. Ask whether the pool is heated if you plan a shoulder-season stay, as the hotel doesn't publish that.
