Book here only as a guest: during renovation the rooftop pool is for in-house guests. The hotel calls the pool vast and adds a Jacuzzi, but the public rooftop bar is closed with no reopening date.
The pool
ME Colombo's pool is on the rooftop at 16 Park Rd, Colombo 05. The hotel calls it vast, gives no dimensions or floor, and adds a Jacuzzi, with panoramic city and skyline views. The hotel says the rooftop is being transformed, and for now only in-house guests can use it.
Our take
ME Colombo shares its guests-only rule with Granbell Hotel Colombo, but Granbell publishes its floor (27th) and ME doesn't. The Jacuzzi beside the pool is the extra here.
Timing is the downside. The hotel gives no end date for the renovation. The poolside bar usually hosts live music at sunset and a Friday night barbecue, but it is temporarily closed to the public. Don't build a trip around either until the hotel confirms the rooftop has reopened.
