Book here for a rooftop pool and a rooftop bar at one address. The hotel lists the pool and the Verre restobar with panoramic sea views, but it publishes no floor or access rules.

The pool

Vivanta Goa, Miramar is a 5-star hotel on the Miramar waterfront side of Panaji, with a rooftop swimming pool. Verre, its rooftop restobar, has panoramic sea views and serves cocktails. The floor, hours and non-guest access aren't published.

Our take

Among the Goa hotels where the pool sits beside a proper bar, this is the one with the clearest sea-view claim. La Baga Beach Hotel publishes its floor (16th), which Vivanta doesn't, so La Baga is the better pick if height matters to you.

The catch is the nightlife. Verre hosts DJs and live singers on select days and is described as a late-night spot, so a quiet afternoon swim is easier to plan on a day without a set. Ask the hotel which days are which.

Good to know

  • Rooftop pool and Verre restobar at the same hotel
  • Panoramic sea views from the rooftop restobar
  • Fitness centre open 24 hours

The catches

  • No floor published for the pool
  • DJ and live music nights at Verre on select days
  • Non-guest access and pool hours aren't published

Best forTravelers after a rooftop pool plus a sea-view cocktail bar in one building.

Skip it ifYou need a published floor, pool hours or a day-pass price before you book.

Getting in

Staying at the hotel is the only route we can state. Vivanta doesn't publish day-pass rules, a day-pass price or a non-guest policy for the pool, and no pass seller lists it.

Verre is a restobar open to the public as a venue, but the hotel doesn't say whether ordering there gets you pool access. Ask before you turn up.

Tips

  • Ask the hotel which days Verre runs DJ or live-singer sets, and plan your swim for a day without one.
  • Between November and January, daytime highs run from 32.5 to 33.5°C, so a midday swim is workable. March to May is the best three months.

Before you go. Call the hotel for the pool's hours and its rule on outside visitors. Neither is published.

Pool facts and where they come from

Facts marked "unconfirmed" come from a travel guide or booking site, not from the hotel. Check them with the hotel before you plan around them.
