Angler's suits early risers and late-afternoon swimmers on Miami Beach. Its rooftop pool opens daily at sunrise and closes at sunset, longer than most hotels publish, but dayuse.com shows the day-pass price only at checkout.

The pool

Angler's Hotel, at 660 Washington Ave in Miami Beach, has its pool on the roof, with views of South Beach, the Miami skyline and Biscayne Bay. Palm trees surround the deck. No floor number is published.

Our take

Angler's is a Miami Beach pool, so it pairs better with a beach day than the Downtown rooftops such as citizenM Brickell. Its sunrise-to-sunset hours also give it a wider window than most pools on our list.

The downside is price clarity. Dayuse.com doesn't show the price in our listing, while Hyatt Centric Las Olas publishes $20. Staying adds a $40 resort fee per room, per night, plus $5.60 tax. It is mandatory and covers rooftop pool access.

Tips

  • Look up the dayuse.com price for your dates before building the day around the pool.
  • Arrive near opening if you want a quiet deck: the pool opens at sunrise.

Before you go. Look up the current day-pass price on dayuse.com, since the hotel doesn't publish one.
