The pool
The pool is outdoors, atop the 5th floor of the hotel at 179 Itaewon-ro, Yongsan District. It's a modest height compared with the 18th-floor pools on our list. Weekends are busier than weekdays.
Our take
If you aren't booking a room, this is the answer. Hilton Garden Inn Gangnam is guests only, and Somerset Palace doesn't publish its access rules. Hamilton is the one that sells a pass to outsiders.
The downside is the crowd. Weekdays are quieter than weekends, so go midweek if you can. The pass price isn't shown on myguideseoul.com. The hotel gives no heating information either, so plan on cool water outside June to August.
