Penang stays hot all year, with average highs of 31.1°C in November, 31.3°C in December and 31.9°C in January, so a roof swim works in any month. Ten hotels here have a rooftop pool, and none sells day passes. Four are guests-only and six don't publish who can swim.
Our first pick is G Hotel Kelawai, where the rooftop infinity pool is 25 meters long and Gravity Rooftop Bar has live music on the same roof. For the clearest facts, Jazz Hotel Penang puts its infinity pool on the 30th floor and publishes daily hours of 8am to 10pm.

Hotels you might expect here, and why they're not
These hotels come up in Penang searches, but we found no rooftop pool at them.
Hotel Neo+ Penang. Neither source mentions a swimming pool. The Google Maps listing lists only Hotel and Restaurant, and the hotel's structured data (truncated) shows Restaurant and Family Rooms amenities, with no pool.
Royale Chulan Penang. The hotel's own site places the swimming pool on Level 2, not on the roof or an open top-floor terrace. No source describes it as rooftop, so it is classed not-rooftop.
Seven Terraces. The hotel's own site places the swimming pool on the ground floor, in the public area, not on the roof. The Georgetown Heritage ranking page's "private pool amid lush greenery" text does not name Seven Terraces, so I did not use it.
Cheong Fatt Tze - The Blue Mansion. The only pool source (georgetownheritage.com ranking page) describes a pool reached from ground-level rooms, not a roof. The Google Maps listing has no pool information. Only one third-party source, so the ground-level reading rests on that single page.
Angsana Teluk Bahang Penang. The hotel's own pages describe an infinity pool, a family pool and a children's pool, plus private plunge pools in some suites. None says any pool is on the roof or a top-floor terrace, so the rooftop-pool status cannot be confirmed.
