Choose Nobu for winter swimming. The Buckhead rooftop pool is saltwater, heated and open 8 am to 10 pm year-round. Outsiders need a cabana rental, which starts at $120 for a half day.
The pool
The Buckhead hotel's saltwater pool is on the rooftop, with city and Atlanta skyline views, lounge seating and cabanas. The hotel calls the water comfortably lukewarm, weather permitting. The floor is not published, and the pool has no lifeguard.
Our take
Nobu and Forth are the two pools on our list that publish year-round opening, and both are heated. Forth is for guests and Club members only. Nobu lets outsiders in, but only by renting a cabana.
That is the catch. A cabana covers up to 4 guests and costs $120 for half a day, $220 for a full day, so the price works for a group and stings for one swimmer. Full poolside bar service runs only Friday to Sunday until the end of September.
